Although the fixtures and furnishings in every room are bang up to date, the use of warm wooden floors, oak beams and rustic accents throughout maintains the character of the building. 

The accommodation is housed over two floors. Downstairs you’ll find a lovely open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area complete with quirky wooden table and wood burning stove. The generous bedroom on this floor features a large double shower en suite. The remaining two bedrooms are on the first floor, both of which are also en suite. The master bedroom features a sumptuous king sized bed, large double bath and a stunning oak framed floor to ceiling window. All bedrooms include an LCD TV and DVD player.

The stable door to the rear of the property leads out onto a private courtyard garden – perfect for enjoying an al fresco lunch in the summer months.

The Yorkshire landscape, and in particular the Yorkshire Wolds, was the inspiration for many of David Hockney’s stunning paintings in his recent Royal Academy exhibition. Take the Hockney trail and visit some of the locations so synonymous with his work. The village of Kilham is the setting for the July/Winter Tunnel series of paintings with the trees at Thixendale inspiring the incredibly vibrant Three Trees at Thixendale series.
